You – yourself are the expert of your own well-being. You are the one who knows your body and soul best. And we all have a responsibility regarding our own health and wellbeing.
When you feel that something is wrong with your body…that is when you feel ill. What do you do? What about the flu, almost everybody get flue at one time or another or perhaps I’m wrong in assuming that. Anyway, are you like me that when the doctor say something you need to google it to find out what he/she is talking about and if you get a new medicine you find the information on the internet, for and against, side affect and so on.
But how does alternative therapy comes in to this. Do you check and see what alternative therapy can do for you first or after you’ve spoken to your doctor? You need to be careful though as you need to know what you are doing with alternative treatment. Of course the best thing is to go to those who have learned and study alternative things after you go to the doctor, but you should tell the doctor if you are planning to seek after alternative advice.
Please do not misunderstand me. We should always listen to the doctor and do not necessarily deny traditional treatment, but you can always use alternative treatment with traditional treatment. Be careful thou, you should always tell your doctor what you are planning to do, specially if you are taking medicine. Many alternative treatments can affect the treatment you get from your doctors. In most cases alternative treatments works well with traditional treatments. Please remember it is always you and you alone who are responsible for your own health.

As you might have noticed, there are many different therapies available. I named few in my earlier posts. So perhaps the next question should be: Is one therapy better than other? My answer is no.
The therapy itself is one thing, but the therapists are completely different matter. We are all unique and we work differently. I couldn‘t say if one therapist is better than the next one, you need to find out for yourself. A lady once told me that she had at last found a masseur which she liked, after searching for about 12 months. Please keep in mind that what works for you might not work for the next person. Those of you who seek alternative treatment might need to search and try out many forms of treatment before you find the one which benefits you the most.
If we look closer at what Alternative therapy is, we see that there are many different kinds of therapy which fall into this category. We have Massage, Homeopathy, Natural remedies, Cranio Sacral therapy, Acupuncture, Alternative medicine, Reflexology, Healing and more. Most of these treatments believe that the body has a way to heal itself, but sometimes it needs a little help.
Alternative treatment is unlike traditional treatments where the view is often that one size fits all. If we look around us at all the people who are walking down the street, they are in all sizes. Some are big some are small. Imagine if the clothes we got were all the same size. Same size for everyone, would that work? For me it’s just as irrational to think everyone should be craved in the same size and be expected to be like everyone else. I believe that when we look at treatments/medicine you need to look at the individual and threat every person individually.
All of us are individual and none is exactly like any other individual. When treating a person you need to see the person as a whole. We are not a body with a soul, but rather the other way. We are a soul with a body. Sometimes it’s the soul who needs treatment and often we can see an irregularity in the aura before it manifests itself in the body as an illness. I know that many people do not believe that’s possible, but why not?.
If you see something that I do not see, does that make it untrue? Have you seen electricity, how it flows (how do we know that electricity flows)? If you haven’t seen it does that mean that electricity doesn’t exist? Is it possible for us to know something even though we can’t see it?
My answer is yes, but what do you think. It is often hard to explain why you believe one thing but not the other. I believe that when you turn and look inside yourself you can feel what is correct and what is not. But I also know that sometime we deny what we feel. It’s called intuition and it can be very difficult to explain as this is something you can’t see – only feel.
Does colors affect us ?
Have you ever decided what clothes to wear in the morning. And when the morning comes you can’t stand being in those colors, you need a different outfit. Why is it that some days you feel the need to dress in red or green clothes and other days you choose to wear black. When you choose colors for your walls, why do you choose exactly those colors.
Most of us are not very conscious regarding our choices. But if you think about it, it makes sense.
For example many years ago I started a new work doing things I had never done before. In those days my favorite color was yellow. The reason is that yellow helps us to learn new things, but also when we are teaching it affects the students as well.
It has been said that your favorite color reveals your character and I believe it does. Have you notice a person who chooses to wear all read. Is that because the person need the energy or is it because the person is so angry ?
So the next question is then what does the colors mean. Here below I’ll post the meaning of some of those colors.
What is massage?.
According to wikipedia.org “Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques, to enhance function, aid in the healing process, decrease muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, promote relaxation and well-being and as a recreational activity.”
Massage has been used through the ages to heal and help the body and mind. The history goes at least back to ancient Romans and Greeks, but let’s not go through the history of this treatment but look at how it is today. Today there are many versions of massages such as Swedish massage, shiatsu, reflexology and many more.
Every masseur is unique even though there are some similarity between some, but I believe that no one can give or work exactly like someone else. Most often the treatment lies in treating tissues like muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, skin and joints. But one should never forget that massage also affects the soul, the part of us that most of us do not see with our eyes. I know that many massage therapists do not agree with me, they only see the body, but we are so much more than a body. We are souls that have a body and sometimes the soul is the one who needs healing. Actually I find it often so that the soul comes first then the body. If a person has been traumatize for some reason in the past it manifest in the body and more often than not causes a problem later on in life
Alternative therapy is perhaps one thing that people most disagree about. Some are in to it and some are not. Some know a bit and pieces about alternative therapy, some know a lot, some are curious and there are others who do not believe in it and say that if something is wrong you should consult a doctor not someone who has no medical degree. My view is that everybody, alternative and conventional therapy needs to work together on making a person hole again.
If we look at therapy then we see that there are many different therapies available in our world. Most often we categorize therapies into conventional therapy, alternative therapy and complementary therapy, but what is the differences between those?
Conventional therapy is the traditional treatment one gets when we go to the doctor. Often they threat the illness, but do not always see the body as a whole. Therefore the cause of the illness is left out and not treated.
Alternative therapy is generally used instead of conventional medical treatment
Complementary therapy means you can use it alongside your conventional medical treatment
